(Photo credit: Wikipedia)The samba school competitions that take place during this time, are like none other around the world. If you have never visited the city during Carnival, make sure you keep it high on your list of things to do!

Carnival certainly represents an amazing time to be within the city of Rio de Janeiro. Not only with a vast number of samba schools competing to win the city’s “best samba school title”, the city is also simply an amazing place to be just because of the electrifying energy that is in the air. Coming to Rio de Janeiro during Carnival normally, is certainly an unforgettable experience.

But if you come, make sure you do all your planning in advance! The city during that time is filled with visitors and vacationers to the city, those that come and are ill-prepared will certainly pay the cost by not doing so. Make sure your hotel or apartment rentals are booked well in advance, and make sure you begin planning where you’re going to eat, what you’re going to buy, how you’re going to provide your transportation necessities and other needed items that you will have to purchase when you are in Rio.

Lastly, when booking an apartment or reserving your time in a hotel, make sure that the location comes with free on site Wi-Fi access, and is located within extremely close proximities of mass transportation.
