Usain Bolt To Retire After Rio
One of the greatest sports headlines today, is that Usain Bolt is planning to retire after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He has had a stellar Olympic career, attaining the status as being the fastest man in the world. He is an amazing track star, and will leave behind an amazing record.
We think that he is making a positive move by planning is exit out of the track and field arena. Many runners lose their reputation as being great stars by not deciding when it’s time for them to exit. Planning the right time to enter is just as important as planning the correct time to leave.
It will be interesting to see what Mr. Bolt does in the future as there will be many other sporting activities that he will be able to gravitate toward. He obviously is an amazing competitor, and his desire to compete will not end.
We enjoy his realistic nature in that he does understand, that he is approaching 30 years old, and it is extremely difficult for competitors in the track and field arena to compete once they hit the pinnacle of this age. The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will be in amazing time for him to make his exit, as well as make his entrance into the world of Brazil. He no doubt is going to have many opportunities selling his self as a star around the world, and Rio de Janeiro will certainly be one of them.
